Poland Unveils Glowing Bright Blue Bike Lane That’s Charged by the Sun

Sharing is caring!

TPA Sp. z o.o. Leader Igor Ruttmar told Gazeta Wyborcza that the substance within this amazingly-looking glowing biking lane in Poland may produce light for approximately 10 hours. Every day, this beautiful lane collects the power from the sun, hence it is able to shine throughout the night. This luminous bicycle route is intended to enhance individuals’s security during biking over nighttime.

The glowing biking lane is called the luminophores. The “particles” within the lane substance may produce a number of shades, and in addition, the inventors selected orange to best-fit in using the surrounding scenery. They also investigated the sustainability of the supplies, in order to make them as economical as possible, as these types of bicycle lanes do charge significantly more than conventional counters.

In the Netherlands, there’s already a similar so-called Starry Night bicycle route, who much offered motivation for opening this new type of glowing bicycle lane in Poland, yet the Polish lane is quite distinctive from the Van Gogh-crafted street. As the one in the Netherlands is LEDs driven, the TPA sp. Z.o.o.’s one is still a prototype, as it is not known how much time it could take before it starts to degrade.

However, just imagine that such type of beautifully glowing bicycling lanes start to light up the nights all over the world. It’s a good way to travel overnight with your bike anyways!
